Belmont Carlton Neighborhood Association

Identifying and advocating for needs of our community

The Belmont-Carlton Neighborhood Association (BCNA) was established in 1980 for the distinct purpose of identifying and advocating for needs of the community.  The association is here to listen to your concerns and answer questions as we can. We can help guide you in working with various city departments and community groups in the hopes that progress is made on neighborhood concerns and advocacy issues.  We help connect residents with the people and resources needed to realize their goals for the neighborhood. We welcome all new members and inquiries about serving on our Board for those whose primary residence is in the Belmont-Carlton neighborhood.

Belmont-Carlton is the neighborhood between 6th Street SE, Moore's Creek, and the CSX (former C&O) railroad in the southeast corner of Charlottesville.  It includes Avon Street, Monticello Avenue, Monticello Road, Carlton Avenue and Road, Rives Street, and Nassau Streeet to name just a few. Go to the Our Neighborhood / History page for more information.
